STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES HIRED BY GUINNESS

Toronto-based Strategic Objectives has been appointed public relations agency for the Guinness beer brand in Canada. Strategic Objectives was selected in a confidential, competitive pitch process. The agency is now working on an integrated marketing communications program for the brand. "We were looking for an agency that could capture the Guinness brand essence and effectively communicate with our many key stakeholders," said Brian Gencher, brand manager for Guinness, Kilkenny, Smithwick's and Harp. Elements of the agency's new marketing communications program for Guinness will break this week.
