GREENLIGHT BUYS INTERNET COMPANY

Toronto-based Greenlight Communications has made a deal to take over Information Express of Toronto in a share swap. Greenlight says the addition of Information Express will fill out its range of Internet-related products and services for businesses and homes. Information Express products and services include ISDN connectivity, integration and consulting, a retail outlet, public and residential Internet access, high speed Internet access and education and training courses for individuals and companies. Information Express will be consolidated with the products and services of Greenlight subsidiaries Internet Canada Corp. and Internex Online. Express president Dan Hawes will become marketing and product management vice-president of Greenlight's Internet division, which has over 10,000 subscribers.

Separately, Greenlight's HealthLink Communications division has won some new business. It will be handling a U.S. marketing program targeting doctors for Glaxo Wellcome of North Carolina. It is also producing a series discussing cancer therapy for Ligand Pharmaceuticals of San Diego, California. Healthlink is also handling several projects related to hormone replacement for Key Pharmaceutical, a division of Schering Canada. These include an international conference about women's health, a coast-to-coast video conference and a satellite conference. In addition Healthlink will develop a customized Internet network for physicians for the Canadian Rheumatology Society. Greenlight's DHD PostImage division is producing TV commercials for Bingrae Dairy of Korea, and is designing a 3D animation logo for Evergreen Entertainment of Los Angeles.
