GALLOP & GALLOP BEGINS PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Gallop & Gallop has undertaken a public awareness campaign using 4,000 Flashmedia vertical outdoor posters and a Web site. The campaign invites Canadians to submit opinions about the potential war in Iraq to U.S. president George Bush. The posters display the headlines, "Help George make the right choice," and "Peace on Earth Includes Iraq? Tell George." Viewers are directed to a Web site at <http://www.togeorgebush.com>. French-language versions of the posters have been installed in Quebec. Visitors to the Web site can access a pop-up email form to send a message to Bush as well as U.S. vice-president Dick Cheney and Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien. The subject line reads, "What one Canadian thinks about Iraq." Visitors can also post comments online and submit poster slogans. The campaign was created by Miller Neighbour & Associates of Toronto. The French translation was done by Anne Minguet. The Web site was created by Gallop & Gallop. Public relations are being handled by Yvonne McKinnon and Associates. The campaign will run nationally, excluding the Maritime provinces, for four weeks.
