MYRIAD CAMPAIGNS FOR MARINE MUSEUM

Myriad Marketing has begun working on a fundraising campaign for the Lake of Bays Marine Museum and Navigation Society, based in Dorset, ON. The Toronto-based agency received the assignment without a competition. Funds raised through the initiative will support the restoration of the Bigwin Steamboat, a wooden steamboat built in 1910. Once restored, the ship will be used as a tourist attraction. Myriad held a launch event earlier this fall and has since constructed a Web site at <http://www.bigwinsteamboat.com>. The site contains information on the history of the ship, pictures and a way to sign-up for an email newsletter. Myriad's assignment also includes public awareness elements, the development of promotional materials and a direct marketing component.
