AIRLINE ASSOCIATION PROPOSES NEW ADVERTISING CODE

The Air Transport Association of Canada has produced a voluntary advertising code for the country's airlines, according to a report in the Calgary Herald, designed to reduce confusion about the actual price of an airline ticket. Also, airlines must not advertise one-way fares within Canada if the price depends on the purchase of a round-trip ticket. The Air Transport Association expects the new rules to be in place by early next year, the report said.
