CANADA POST BREAKS HOLIDAY DELIVERY ADS

Canada Post Corp. has begun a holiday advertising effort called "Canada Post Delivers the Holidays." The campaign was created by BCP of Montreal. The creative shows a gift-wrapped box which incorporates a pair of black Santa boots, the image used in last year's campaign. This creative will be used in a direct mail piece to be sent to 2.5 million households in Canada, on "moving billboards" on 1,600 Canada Post vans, on display materials at 7,000 Canada Post outlets and on posters in major shopping centres. The campaign, which also includes radio advertising, will run until the end of the year. Additional marketing initiatives for Canada Post include a holiday microsite at <http://www.canadapost.ca> and a contest called "Win a Family and Friends Reunion." Public relations for Canada Post are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
