ROLL LOOKING BEYOND ITS BORDERS

Roll Magazines of Toronto will expand circulation of iMpact magazine into the U.S., and will set its eye on Europe, now that it has made a deal with U.S.-based multimedia company Frontier Media. By selling a small piece of itself to Frontier, Roll has acquired the capital it needs to increase the subscription drive for iMPACT, a music and lifestyle magazine targeting the 18 to 39-year-old market. Frontier is also giving a hand in the effort to pick up more readers and is helping Roll to set up an iMPACT Web site. The magazine is published 10 times a year, has a circulation of 70,000 and is available at music and fashion retailers, as well as by subscription. IMPACT is also backing the international release of two CDs featuring up-and-coming bands.
