CITY OF HAMILTON BEGINS BRANDING CAMPAIGN

The City of Hamilton aims to attract investment and workers as well as to change perceptions of itself through a new branding and image campaign created by JAN Kelley Marketing of Burlington, ON. Elements of the campaign include a new logo along with print, radio and outdoor advertising. The logo depicts the letter "H" in the form of a bridge. The advertising creative uses the theme "reach, dream, rise, shine," which, according to the city, describes its successes and diversity. Additional components of the branding effort include a 32-page economic development newspaper insert, a corporate video, collateral materials and a re-designed Web site at <http://www.hamilton.ca>. The advertising will run for six-weeks. The collateral materials and the new the Web site will go into use early next year.
