ALLIANCE ATLANTIS BEGINS CAMPAIGN FOR HISTORY TELEVISION THEME NIGHTS

Alliance Atlantis Communications has undertaken a five-week marketing campaign to promote theme night programming on History Television. Print advertising, created by FCB Toronto, will break on Saturday in television listing books in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. The ads will promote the channel's nightly themes, such as 20th century Mondays and ancient history Tuesdays. The campaign will also make use of radio advertising for the first time since History Television launched in 1997. The 30-second ads are adapted from on-air promotional material created by Alliance Atlantis. Like the print ads, the radio commercials and on-air promos focus on various nightly themes. The radio and on-air advertising began running in mid-September.
