RIDERS SAVE ACCORDING TO NEW TTC CAMPAIGN

A new advertising campaign for the Toronto Transit Commission highlights things consumers can buy with the money they would save by taking the TTC instead of a car. Three 30-second radio commercials began airing in ten Toronto radio stations on Sept. 16. The campaign also includes approximately 5,400 posters on vehicles and in stations. The three executions display the same purchases described in the radio ads: a big screen television, a beach vacation and tuition fees. According to Bob Hughes, marketing manager for the TTC, the commission is aiming the campaign at two audiences: car owners and current TTC riders. The advertising will run until Nov. 17. It was created by Flavour of Toronto.
