SECOND CUP OPENS ONE-DAY PROMOTIONAL CAFE

Coffee retailer Second Cup will operate a street cafe outside Toronto's Union Station today. The one-day initiative is to promote a new coffee blend called Early Edition. Between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. commuters will receive a free cup of the coffee. Also, the band Puente del Diablo will perform. The concept was developed by Second Cup's public relations agency Strategic Objectives of Toronto. The new coffee blend was introduced earlier this month. It is also being promoted with a national contest called "Wake Up with the Rolling Stones in L.A." and with billboard creative as part of the "Second Cup. First Thing" advertising campaign by Holmes and Lee of Toronto.
