GLOBE AND MAIL CONTINUES PERSPECTIVE CAMPAIGN

The Globe and Mail began a new advertising campaign on Monday that maintains the "Perspective is Everything" theme introduced earlier this year. The advertising is running in the paper, on network and specialty television, on radio and on the Elevator News Network. Outdoor components include billboards, transit shelters and three large format boards in Toronto. Created by Naked Creative Consultancy of Toronto, the campaign promotes the newspaper as delivering coverage that allows readers to form their own perspectives on issues of the day. The media planning and buying were handled by Gaggi Media Communications Inc. The campaign began in conjunction with the start of a two-week promotion during which readers are invited to comment on the viewpoints of Globe writers. This promotion is running at the newspaper's Web site at <http://www.globeandmail.com>. Each day one reader will win a $10,000 travel voucher. Three second place readers will receive a framed cover of the paper with their comments in print. Public relations for The Globe and Mail are handled by Environics Communications of Toronto.
