ROGERS RE-BRANDS CFMT STATIONS AS OMNI

Rogers Media is preparing to re-brand its CFMT-TV and CFMT "too" television stations as Omni Television. CFMT "too" will become Omni.2 on Sept. 16. CFMT-TV will change to Omni.1 over the next year. A multimedia advertising campaign to promote the name change will begin next month. "We decided it was time for a one word label that would describe what we do and how we do it in the most broadest, inclusive terms," said Leslie Sole, chief executive officer for television at Rogers Media. "Omni means everybody, every place, all people, all stories, all communities, all the time."
