By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Corus Entertainment will introduce MOJO Radio to the Vancouver market on Aug. 6. The format of CJNW AM 730 will be changed to MOJO Radio's programming of "talk radio for guys." The station will target men 25 to 54 years of age. Discussion topics will include health, fitness, cars, careers, beers, business, women and sports. The format debuted in Toronto last spring. "The new format has taken off in Toronto," said Corus Radio Vancouver general manager Lou Del Gobbo. "This is innovative, provocative radio and we know Vancouver will embrace it." Radio promotion on Corus-owned Vancouver stations Rock 101, The Fox 99.3 and CKNW will promote the introduction of MOJO Radio. MOJO models will also appear at Vancouver events leading up to the format change. These promotional activities are being handled in-house.
