SHARPE BLACKMORE CREATES CAMPAIGN FOR EARLSCOURT CENTRE

Sharpe Blackmore Euro RSCG of Toronto recently donated its services to create a new poster campaign for Earlscourt Child and Family Centre. The campaign promotes Toronto-based Earlscourt's Girls Connection program, which is aimed at females with behavioural problems. "When most people think of violent children, they automatically think of boys," said Tony Miller, creative director of Sharpe Blackmore. "The assumption is that girls don't even need a program. That was one of our biggest challenges and strongly shaped the direction of our creative." The creative consists of an illustration of Humpty Dumpty being pushed off a wall by a young girl. The headline is, "Aggressive child behaviour is not the same old story." The tagline is, "Take away the anger before it takes away the girl." Media space was donated by Viacom Outdoor. The campaign will begin an eight-week run in the Greater Toronto Area later this month.
