BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS AND PRISZM BRANDZ HOLD FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and priszm brandz have teamed up for a week-long national fundraising initiative. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers mentoring programs between adults and children 6-18 years of age. Priszm brandz operates the KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurant chains in Canada. During the fundraising campaign, "Have a Heart" stickers will be sold for $1 at the 768 priszm brandz restaurants. Purchased stickers will be posted inside the restaurants. Proceeds from the sale, along with a corporate donation from priszm brandz, will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. "Big Brothers Big Sisters is a national organization which touches the lives of children and young adults across the country," said John Bitove, chairman of priszm brandz. "Our restaurants and employees are very much part of the communities they serve and we want to give back to those communities. BBBSC was chosen as the recipient of our first nationwide effort." The stickers will be on sale until July 18. On that day employees from priszm brand's head office and volunteers from BBBSC will work in local KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants to encourage donations and seek new volunteers. Bitove will serve customers and attempt to raise awareness for the organization in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Edmonton. In-store materials including counter cards, table tents, buttons and banners are promoting the fundraising campaign. Creative for the materials as well as the "Have A Heart" wall stickers was done pro-bono by Artisan Complete of Markham, ON.
