BURGER KING CONSOLIDATES ACCOUNT WITH INTERPUBLIC
By Adnews Staff
Burger King Corp. will consolidate its U.S. account with agencies from the Interpublic Group of Companies, according to reports on AdAge.com and Adweek.com. Unidentified sources described as "familiar with the situation" said in the reports that Miami-based Burger King plans to move the media duties currently handled by MediaVest to Media First and to move regional advertising currently handled by D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles to Deutsch. Media First already handles print and cable for Burger King. In May Deutsch received a creative assignment from the burger chain. Interpublic agencies already working for Burger King include DraftWorldwide, which handles promotional marketing, and Campbell-Mithun, which handles children's marketing.
