WAMPOLE CHANGES NAME, INTRODUCES NEW PRODUCTS

Over-the-counter pharmaceutical company Wampole of Mississauga is changing its name to Wampole Brands. The name is intended to reflect the introduction of approximately 65 new products in seven brand categories. The new lines include Body Check pain therapy products, Effervite vitamins and minerals and Total Greens supplements. Barking Dog Studios of Toronto will promote the introduction of the new brands, beginning with Effervite. Print advertising will be followed by product sampling in August and theatre advertising in September. In-store displays will also be used. Public relations for Wampole are handled by The Idea Workshop Ltd. of Toronto.
