ATLANTIC LOTTERY CORPORATION PLANS FOR LOTTO 6/49 ANNIVERSARY

The Atlantic Lottery Corp. of Moncton, NB has a number of activities planned to promote the 20th anniversary of the Lotto 6/49 game. An instant Lotto 6/49 Scratch and Win game, the first of three initiatives, will begin this month. The game will be promoted with five weeks of English and French television advertising which will break on June 28. The television ads will be supported with POS materials, posters and live radio remotes during the summer. The advertising for the Lotto 6/49 Scratch and Win game was created by Bristol Group of Halifax. In October, the corporation will join with the BC Lottery Corp. of Kamloops, BC, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. of Sault St. Marie, ON, the Western Canada Lottery Corp. of Winnipeg and Montreal-based Loto Quebec for a Lotto 6/49 2002 Grey Cup promotion. That promotion will include bonus 6/49 draws in which winners will receive cash prizes, Roots merchandise and a trips for two to the Grey Cup. A top prize of $6.49 million will be awarded to one of the bonus winners attending the Grey Cup. The remaining bonus winners at the game will share a $2 million prize. The Grey Cup promotion will be followed by the introduction of a new Atlantic 6/49 online game.
