CARAMILK ASKS CANADIANS TO REVEAL SECRETS

Toronto-based candy maker Cadbury Trebor Allan is readying a contest for its Caramilk chocolate bar called the "Caramilk Search for Canada's Best Kept Secret." The contest begins on June 21 in Calgary. A "Reveal Your Secret Kiosk" staffed by two people will be travel to various Canadian cities this summer to record confessions. The kiosk will also stop at the Quebec Summer Festival in Quebec City on July 6 and 7, the Vancouver International Comedy Festival on Granville Island in British Columbia on Aug. 2 and 3 and at Ontario Place in Toronto on Aug. 17 and 18. Entrants can also submit confessions on video tape or in writing until Aug. 28. The winner, to be announced in September, will receive a trip for two to an undisclosed location. Regional media relations by Toronto-based Harbinger will promote the contest in each of the cities the kiosk visits. The contest is tied to the brand's current advertising campaign, created by TBWAChiatDay of New York, which consists of three television commercials in which a man attempts to unveil the secret of how the caramel is inserted into a Caramilk bar.
