PALMER JARVIS DDB CREATES CAMPAIGN FOR MAN IN MOTION FOUNDATION

Palmer Jarvis DDB of Vancouver has created a national campaign of public service announcements for the Rick Hansen Man In Motion Foundation. The foundation, also based in Vancouver, raises awareness of and funds for spinal cord research. It was created following Rick Hansen's World Tour in 1987 when he travelled 40,000 km around the world by wheelchair. This month is the 15th anniversary of the tour. Thirty- and 60-second television, radio and print executions began running late last month using the tagline, "We believe people with spinal cord injuries will walk again." "The advertisements depict everyday actions that mobile people take for granted, actions that would mean the world to those affected by spinal cord injuries," said Alan Russell, vice-president and creative director for PJ DDB Vancouver. The campaign will run until June 30.
