ARMOR ALL HOLDS NATIONAL CAR WASH DAY

The Clorox Company of Canada Ltd. will hold the third annual Armor All National Car Wash Day this Saturday. Toronto-based marketing agency Glavin & Associates created the fundraising event three years ago for the company, which markets Armor All products in Canada. Non-profit and community groups that participate in the event will be provided with supplies including buckets, sponges, signs, flyers and Armor All products with which to hold a car wash. Proceeds raised from each car wash will go to the individual groups which hold them. Glavin & Associates handles the co-ordination and distribution of the car wash kits as well as the registration of and communictions with participating groups. The agency also handles the national marketing activities that target potential participants including advertising, direct mail and public relations. This year approximately 1,500 groups will hold car washes as part of the event, including the Mile Zero Figure Skating Club in BC, the West Island Track Club in Quebec, the Marygrove Children's Home in Manitoba and 11 Scout Troop in Ontario.
