HUDSON'S BAY COMPANY UPDATES CORPORATE LOOK
By Adnews Staff
Hudson's Bay Company has updated its corporate look. The Toronto-based retailer used Interbrand Tudhope for the assignment. The changes include a new "corporate signature" as well as updated logos for the Bay, Zellers, HomeOutfitters and Hbc.com. The "corporate signature" has not been updated since 1962, said Tammy Smitham, manager of media relations and public affairs for Hudson's Bay. The new signature incorporates the company's full name, the initials HBC and the tagline "Canada's Merchant's since 1670." It will initially be used on the company's Web site and on HBC's corporate materials. It will later appear on shopping bags and flyers. The logos of HBC's retail chains now include the phrase "A division of Hudson's Bay Company."
