KELLOGG RELEASES CURTIS JOSEPH VECTOR SPOT

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Curtis Joseph appears in a new television commercial for Kellogg Canada's Vector Energy Bar. The spot debuted on Thursday at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto during the Leafs' game against the Ottawa Senators. It was seen again on Saturday night at the arena as well as on-air in some markets over the weekend. Thirty- and 60-second versions of the ad, called "Ninja Goalie", have been created. The commercial promotes the new chocolate chip Vector bar. It shows Joseph sparring with a ninja using hockey pucks. Joseph shoots a puck through the legs of the ninja. It hits a gong behind him that sets off a red light. When the two bow to each other a Vector bar falls from Joseph's pocket onto the floor. The tagline is "Eat Or Be Eaten." The ad will be in heavier rotation in Canada later this month. It was created by Leo Burnett. Vector bars are also sold in berryburst and cranberry apple varieties.
