KODAK ADDS FEATURE TO DIGITAL CAMERA

Eastman Kodak of Rochester, New York introduced a digital camera with removable storage cards to the North American market this week. Other digital cameras store images on miniature hard drives. The cameras must be connected to computers to download the photos so people can see them. Kodak's new DC50 model also stores the pictures on cards that can be removed and inserted in a computer for picture viewing. The DC50 will be marketed to mobile workers such as insurance adjusters and real estate agents who use pictures on the job and transmit images back to their offices via portable computers. Ogilvy & Mather of New York will create advertising, for which a schedule has not yet been set. O&M's Toronto office will localize the ads for Canada.
