ROB TV TO RE-LAUNCH
By Adnews Staff
ROB TV will re-launch on April 29 with new programming, a new schedule and a new on-air look. The schedule will include three flagship programs: "The Open", which will cover the start of each trading day; "Lunch Money", which will report on events each midday; and "The Close", which will be a wrap-up of the day's events with reports and analysis from Toronto and New York. The new look for the network was created in-house by CTV. It consists of various new sets, including an anchor desk in the Report on Business newsroom, along with new on-air graphics and music. A multimedia advertising campaign, also created in-house, will promote the changes. Promotions will air CTV properties including the Comedy Network, TSN and the Outdoor Life Network through the summer. Online banner ads will also run during that time. Print advertising in The Globe and Mail will coincide with the channel's re-launch later this month. The business news channel debuted in 1999. It was acquired by CTV Television in November 2001.
