CANCOPY AWARDS BRAND WORK TO HOLMES & LEE
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based The Canadian Rights Licensing Agency has awarded Holmes & Lee, also of Toronto, its brand identity and communications business. In a separate search, Holmes & Lee's Internet division, Prescient, has been hired by CANCOPY for a Web site project. "We had considered five agencies for the brand assignment. The Web project went to a shortlist of three from 11 proposals submitted," said Fred Wardle, executive director of CANCOPY. "Going with the obvious synergy of Holmes & Lee with its Internet arm Prescient means that the idea generation process and execution can happen seamlessly and work on the Web site can proceed in tandem with this." Holmes & Lee will handle strategic and creative development for the campaign, which will begin in May. The agency's design arm sisu will also work on brand identity for the campaign. CANCOPY is a non-for-profit agency that administers the reproduction rights of copyright protected works.
