BAYER SPONSORS NEWEST EXHIBIT AT SCIENCE CENTRE

Bayer Inc. of Toronto is the principal sponsor of the Human Body exhibit at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. Under the deal, Bayer Inc. will give the centre $200,000 over the next three years. As well, Bayer is sponsoring a national essay contest, along with the Ontario Science Centre and Global TV's kids program Kidsbeat. Running until Feb 16, the contest has children aged 10 to 14 answering three questions: "What do you think is the most interesting part of the human body?...Why?...How do you keep it healthy?" The grand prize is a trip for four to Toronto. The Human Body exhibit explores advancements in medical technology, life science and the issues surrounding them. Visitors can solve puzzles in a DNA detective case, learn how eye color is determined by playing matching games, and diagnose patient cases. Late last year Bayer A.G. of Germany consolidated its worldwide advertising with BBDO Worldwide. In Canada Bayer is trying to decide whether to switch to BBDO or continue with SMW Advertising of Toronto.
