AMA TORONTO TO CREATE CANADIAN MARKETING HALL OF FAME

The Toronto Chapter of the American Marketing Association intends to create a Marketing Hall of Fame of Canada. The organization is seeking partners from industry associations, media and academic institutions as well as sponsors for the project, which will get underway in the fall. According to the association, the Hall of Fame will track the contributions marketing plays in Canadian business achievement and the people involved in it. "We believe the time has come to recognize the key role marketing plays in legendary business success stories," said Richard Patterson, president of AMA Toronto. Toronto-based executive search firm Mandrake is the charter sponsor of the Marketing Hall of Fame of Canada.
