YTV AND UNIVERSAL MUSIC PLAN THIRD BIG FUN PARTY

YTV and Universal Music Canada, both of Toronto, began a new promotional campaign last week in support of the March 5 release of the annual CD compilation called "YTV Big Fun Party Mix 3." The album, which contains 20 hit singles, is aimed at kids and tweens. Thirty-second teaser spots currently running on YTV will be followed by 30- and 15-second ads beginning March 5 on YTV and other networks. Additional promotional support will include 30-second radio spots on stations nationally, slide ads in Famous Players theatres and prints ads in magazines including KidsWorld, Kids Tribute, La Senza Girl and YTV's Whoa! magazine. Album sponsor Black Diamond Cheestrings will support the CD with a contest called "Pull Some Strings...Go Backstage". The contest will start on March 18 and run for three-weeks on YTV programming block The Zone as well as online at <http://www.ytv.com>. Viewers must watch daily and then visit the site to enter. The grand prize is a trip for two to Toronto as well as tickets and backstage passes to see a Universal Music artist in concert. Black Diamond has also created a set of five collectable in-pack trading cards of artists from the album including Aaron Carter, Mandy Moore and Christina Aguilera.
