JWT HIRED BY HOSPITAL FOR SICK CHILDREN

The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto has hired J. Walter Thompson for a branding project. The agency was one of three shortlisted for the assignment. Previously the hospital used a number of agencies on a project basis. According to chief of public affairs Cyndy DeGiusti, one of JWT's advantages was its broad range of affiliates to work on the assignment. Public relations agency Hill & Knowlton, research company Goldfarb Consultants, media company Mindshare and direct marketing agency Go Direct will also work on the project. Other agencies within WPP may also work on the project as necessary, said JWT group account director Craig Strong.
