TELETOON PROMOTES ANIMATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
By Adnews Staff
Teletoon is promoting its 2002 Animation Scholarship Awards. The Toronto-based animation channel has been holding the annual awards program for students studying animation for the past five years. Information materials, including the rules and regulations as well as a poster to generate awareness of the competition among students, are being distributed to course instructors, directors and department heads at Canadian schools. Teletoon will also promote the awards program online at <http://www.teletoon.com>. Cash prizes from $1,000 to $4,000 are awarded to the top three students at four levels of study: high school students applying to an animation program, students currently pursuing animation studies, students graduating from an animation program, or anyone applying to an animation school who is not a graduating high school student. The deadline for entries is May 17. Promotional materials for Teletoon's 2002 Animation Scholarship Awards were created in-house.
