BELL OLYMPIC CAMPAIGN BEGINS

Bell Canada began an Olympic advertising campaign yesterday. The campaign was created by Cossette Communication-Marketing and describes how Bell products and services will keep Canadians informed during the Salt Lake City Games. The centre of the effort is a 60-second television ad in English and French. Using the company's "Go" theme, the spot depicts Olympic fans following the final seconds of the gold medal hockey game using Bell's wireless, Internet and satellite TV services. The tagline is "You are Team Canada." Three product spots for Bell Mobility, Sympatico High Speed Internet and Bell ExpressVu are also part of the campaign. The English versions of these ads each focus on a product displayed in the national spot. The French-language ads depict Bell's Mr. B spokescharacter as a hockey player, a snowboarder and a female figure-skater. Bell's Olympic advertising campaign will run for the length of the games.
