ACTION DIRECT EXTENDS NBA SPONSORSHIP ACTIVITIES

NBA Canada has expanded an existing promotional relationship with Action Direct, the direct investing service of RBC Investments. Last year Action Direct began advertising during the NBA's regular season and playoff games. Under the new deal, in addition to maintaining the existing advertising agreement, Action Direct becomes the halftime sponsor of CTV's NBA broadcasts. Action Direct will also run a month-long online trivia contest in February on NBA.com/Canada. Called "Play NBA Trivia Challenge presented by Action Direct", the contest will give away a trip to the 2002 NBA Playoffs and other prizes. The contest will be promoted by a 30-second television commercial running during NBA programming as well as links to the contest on the <http://www.actiondirect.com> and <http://www.rbcinvestments.com> Web sites.
