KELLOGG'S PROMOTES KICK-START DIET

Kellogg Company is supporting its Special K Kick-Start Diet with a television and print campaign from Leo Burnett of Chicago, according to a report at AdAge.com. Consumers following the Kick-Start plan are to eat two bowls a day of either Special K or Smart Start cereal for two weeks to lose up to six pounds, the report said. Advertising for the diet presents people talking about what they didn't have to do to lose weight. Also, packaging for Special K will promote the Kick-Start plan by describing the diet on boxes in February.
