Toronto-based I.C.E. Multimedia has released five new products designed to educate and entertain children and families. According to the company, the games allow players to become familiar with computers, solve puzzles, exercise imagination, creativity and logic, and gain a sense of achievement from completing an activity. "More than ever, parents want to know their kids are occupying their time wisely, but like all kids they need to have fun," said the company's marketing director Charles Crook. "We engage kids' minds through play and help bring families together through our interactive entertainment offerings." The new games from I.C.E. are Land of the Magic Stones, a role-playing adventure for children age four to seven, and four arcade games based on the Mr. Men and Little Miss books by Roger Hargreaves: Mr. Bump Presents "Mad Run", Mr. Bounce Presents "Demolition", Mr. Noisy Presents "Balloon War" and Mr. Funny Presents "Challenge". The company also produces Rainbow Fish, in which players must solve various problems involving music, mathematics, logic and reflexes. This game is aimed at children age three to seven and is based on the books of Marcus Pfister. The games will be promoted for the holiday season with an Ontario campaign by Torchia Communications consisting of a newspaper insert, radio advertising and public relations.
