ÉDUC'ALCOOL BEGINS HOLIDAY MODERATION MESSAGE
By Adnews Staff
Quebec non-profit organization Éduc'alcool has released a line of free Season's Greetings cards encouraging responsible drinking in that province during the holiday season. For the sixth year, the cards were produced by Communications bleu blanc rouge of Montreal. The three cards are designed to use humour and a contemporary style to indicate that there's nothing stuffy about controlling your drinking. One card shows a couple with champagne glasses kissing under a sprig of mistletoe. Another shows a young woman in a dress of blinking lights drinking a martini. The third card shows a young man with a beer. The card backs display holiday greetings. About 750,000 cards will be distributed in Quebec through 1,200 racks in restaurants, cafes, bars, community centres, schools, bookstores, video stores and SAQ outlets. The cards are being promoted with an indoor poster campaign featuring the kissing couple and copy that encourages people to celebrate with moderation. Pop, Zoom Media and NewAd have contributed their services to the poster campaign and card distribution.
