YTV AND NINTENDO TEAM UP FOR SUPER DUEL PROMOTION
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based YTV and Vancouver-based Nintendo of Canada have teamed up for an on-air and online battle of the sexes called "Super Duel". From November 1 to 23, YTV viewers can register and join a boys team or girls team. Between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. each day, challenges, questions and secret words will appear on-air every hour. Contestants then visit <http://www.ytv.com> to enter answers for their team. Contestants will also encounter additional questions that send them back to the television for clues. During the course of the three-week game, five Nintendo Gamecube systems will be awarded to randon registered players. At the end of the contest, a random draw of winning team members will award 18 grand prize packs of a Nintendo Gamecube system and three Gamecube games. A print ad in TV Guide, created by Toronto's theadlibgroup, a 30-second tune-in spot and a 45-second contest spot, both created in-house by YTV, will promote the contest.
