HUDSON'S BAY COMPANY CHARGES IT
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Hudson's Bay Company is promoting its new HBC credit card with an in-store marketing campaign. Customers will now get a single card to use as payment at any Hudson's Bay Company-owned stores including the Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters and hbc.com. All new applicants will receive the HBC card and the current five million Bay and Zellers cardholders will be shifted to the new card by the end of 2002. According to the retailer, the HBC credit card is a strategic element, linking Hudson's Bay's multiple retail formats with customer bridges. The in-store marketing campaign will run in all Bay-owned stores. Advertising for the retailer's HBC Rewards loyalty program and its credit programs is handled by Padulo Integrated and Vickers & Benson Companies Ltd., both of Toronto.
