AOL CANADA SIGNS STARCOM

Toronto-based AOL Canada has awarded its media buying assignment to Starcom Worldwide, which is part of Bcom3 Group. The appointment consolidates the Internet company's media account with Starcom, which also handles the media planning portion of the account. "We are absolutely thrilled to have all the AOL Canada media business at Starcom," said Scott Neslund, managing director of the agency. "Consolidating media planning and buying allows the company to take advantages on several fronts including efficiencies and contact innovation." Previously AOL Canada used M2 Universal for its media buying. Creative advertising for AOL is done by Leo Burnett, which is also part of Bcom3 Group.
