TORONTO BREWING COMPANY GETS BALL ROLLING

Toronto-based Ball Brewing Co. Ltd. is promoting the launch of its flagship brand Ball Premium Light with a multi-media ad campaign. Ball is distributed in Ontario in clear sleek bottles with the company's red "ball" logo on the label. The logo also appears in the campaign for Ball from Toronto-based marketing communications agency Ice. Billboard and transit shelter advertising as well as POS materials show the red ball icon in unusual situations, along with the tagline "One.Brilliant.Beer." Ball is targeting males aged 24-34 who are premium beer drinkers. "We have a great new product supported by a great advertising and promotions campaign that's fun," said Ball Brewing president Jeff Carefoote. "We're going to challenge the consumer just a little bit and we're going to have fun doing it." Television and radio advertising are also planned which will continue to depict the red ball logo in unusual situations. Ice also designed Ball Brewing's Web site at <http://www.ballbeer.com>.
