WOODBINE PROMOTES RACE WITH 12-DAY COUNT DOWN

A new radio campaign promoting The Atto Mile $1 million thoroughbred race at Woodbine Racetrack will run for the 12 days leading up to the event. The campaign's theme is that it would take 12 days to count to one million. The 12 30-second radio spots feature a woman progressively counting to a million dollars. The ads end with the line : "It takes 12 days to count to a million dollars but less than 2 minutes to win it." Each ad in the series will air for one day only at consistent times to preserve the illusion that the woman is actually counting to a million. The campaign concludes on September 9, the day of the race. Advertising for The Woodbine Entertainment Group is done by Leo Burnett of Toronto.
