ROGERS AT&T WIRELESS PROMOTES ID FOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL

Rogers AT&T Wireless has begun a back-to-school promotion for its iD Wireless service. Between August 15 and September 30, anyone who purchases an iD Wireless membership kit and logs on to the iD Wireless Web site at <http://www.my-id.com> can enter an online contest. Winners get to be part of the making of pop music artist Nelly Furtado's next video or get a copy of her CD "Whoa Nelly". Rogers' iD Wireless is a cell phone package aimed at young people. The iD Membership Kit costs $24.99 and includes a silver phone cover for the new Nokia 3360 (which must be purchased separately) and an iD CD-ROM. The kit also includes an iD membership card which provides the bearer certain discounts. A random draw will be held October 3 to determine the winners. Rogers AT&T Wireless is promoting the contest with washroom advertising in restaurants and bars on campuses in Canada, with print ads in campus publications and with transit posters. The creative was done by MacLaren McCann of Toronto.
