MCDONALD'S PROMOTES SHRIMP WRAP IN ATLANTIC CANADA

Toronto-based McDonald's Restaurants of Canada is expanding its New Tastes Menu in Atlantic Canada to include a shrimp wrap. Distributed in partnership with Newfoundland supplier FPI Ltd., the shrimp wrap will be available for six weeks or while supplies last. The wrap contains a mixture of ice shrimp, celery, lettuce and dressing in a tortilla shell. Television and radio advertising and in-restaurant materials, created by Cossette Atlantic, will promote the item. Past Atlantic Canada products include the McLobster, which has been a specialty seasonal item for ten years, and the McFlurry, which was released nationally after its debut in New Brunswick and Ontario in 1995.
