MOTOROLA AND FUTURE SHOP OFFER GEAR GRAB

To buttress its sponsorship of the annual 24 Hours of Adrenaline mountain bike competition, Mississauga-based Motorola Canada has teamed up with Burnaby, BC-based Future Shop for a promotion called the Motorola Gear Grab. The promotion was created by Toronto's Encore Encore Strategic Marketing, which won the job over two unnamed agencies. In the Motorola Gear Grab, 10 winners from Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver will get 24 seconds to grab as much Motorola gear as they can from a Future Shop store. Each winner will also have the chance to win one of three grand prizes of Motorola and mountain biking gear. Consumers enter online at <http://www.futureshop.ca/motorola> or listen to radio partners CFNY in Toronto, CKNG in Edmonton and CFOX in Vancouver for a chance to win. Five winners from each city will be picked from online entries while the other five will be picked over the radio. The promotion will also have a presence both 24 Hours of Adrenaline events. Contestants chosen randomly from the crowd can participate in an onsite Motorola Gear Grab. Motorola 24 Hours of Adrenaline events will take place on August 18 and 19 in Barrie, Ontario and on September 1 and 2 in Vernon, BC.
