BELL GLOBEMEDIA INTERACTIVE AND GESCA TO BUILD FRENCH EDITION OF WORKOPOLIS
By Adnews Staff
Bell Globemedia Interactive and Gesca Ltd. have teamed up to create a French-language edition of the online job site Workopolis. Bell Globemedia Interactive is a division of Bell Globemedia. Gesca is the newspaper publishing subsidiary of Montreal-based Power Corporation of Canada. Set to open in mid-September, Workopolis' French version will target Quebec recruiters and job seekers. Job postings advertised in Gesca's La Presse and Le Soleil newspapers as well as its other publications such as Le Nouvelliste, Le Droit, La Tribune, Le Quotidien and La Voix de l'Est, will accompany Workopolis' English-language job postings. Workopolis' E-Cruiting Solutions services will also be offered in both languages. Toronto-based Ranscombe & Co., which handles English-language advertising for Workopolis, will assume advertising responsibilities for site's French version, adapting English creative for the Quebec market. Public relations will be handled by Capital Image, the Montreal office of Toronto-based Environics Communications, which handles PR for Workopolis in English Canada.
