ALLIANCE ATLANTIS ADDS SENIOR BROADCASTING MARKETING STAFF

Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting has shuffled its marketing personnel in preparation for the launch next month of its new digital channels. Jim Johnson has joined the senior broadcasting marketing staff as director of marketing for lifestyles networks. He was previously director of national sales promotions. Steve Rayment has been appointed director of marketing for factual networks. Previously he was director of advertising and communications for Discovery Channel at NetStar Communications. Muriel Solomon has been appointed director of marketing for dramatic networks. Solomon, who joined Alliance Atlantis last year, was most recently senior marketing manager of Showcase and Life Network. These three will work under Walter Levitt, vice-president of marketing for Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting, who will handle marketing for the new channels Discovery Health, National Geographic, BBC Canada, BBC Kids, Showcase Action and Showcase Diva.
