7-ELEVEN STRIKEFORCE HITS ONTARIO

7-Eleven Canada's new grassroots marketing program, the "7-Eleven Summer Strikeforce," is on the streets of Ontario. Marketers in Hummers will visit over 500 community events in the province this summer, bringing music, a Spin-to-Win wheel promotion and prizes such as Big Gulps, Cafe Coolers and Slurpees. "In prior years in Ontario, we have targeted our advertising utilizing radio and outdoor media," said Trish Lee, communications manager for Burnaby, BC-based 7-Eleven Canada, Inc. "This year we wanted to get face to face with our customers." 7-Eleven worked with Second Dimension International of Toronto to create the Strikeforce program. Locations will be announced on Energy FM, the program's media partner this summer. Of the 490 stores in operated by 7-Eleven in Canada, 105 are in Ontario.
