PANASONIC CONSOLIDATES ADVERTISING FOR INDUSTRIAL DIVISIONS

Panasonic Canada of Mississauga has consolidated advertising for its industrial divisions with Toronto's Axmith McIntyre Wicht. Ian Kilvert, director of communications for Panasonic Canada, said the account was just not big enough to be handled by two agencies. Incumbents Gee, Jeffery & Partners and Anderson were invited to pitch for the consolidated account along with Axmith, Holmes & Lee and Campbell Michener & Lee. Kilvert said Panasonic will meet with Axmith next week to brief its new agency. Initial projects, he said, may include some consumer battery and notebook computer advertising.
