FIDO HOLDS LOOK-ALIKE CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
Montreal-based Microcell Solutions, which operates the Fido brand, is holding a Fido Look-Alike contest at the 2001 Toronto Street Festival running July 6 to 8. The contest, based on the brand's black and white advertisements that picture dogs which resemble their owners, invites pet owners to bring their pets to the Fido Tent at the festival to enter the contest. The audience will determine which pair of pet and owner resemble each other the most. The top three look-alikes on the two days of the contest will win Fido prizes including wireless phones and free airtime. Fido's look-alike advertising was created by Montreal-based Bos. Public relations for Microcell are handled by Opsis Communications & Marketing. Fido is the official street sponsor of the Yonge & Bloor Festival Site for the 2001 Toronto Street Festival.
